Additional Explanations

FORM 990, PART XII, QUESTION 2C, OVERSIGHT OF FINANCIAL STATEMENT AUDIT:

The organization's financial statements are audited by an independent accounting firm. In addition, the fund's board assumes the responsibility for oversight of the audit of its financial statements and its selection of the independent accountant. This process has not changed from the prior year.

Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

Gba has received a determination letter from the internal revenue service stating that it is exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code. Accordingly, no provision for income taxes is recorded in these financial statements. Management has analyzed the tax positions taken by gba, and has concluded that, as of december 31, 2014 and 2013, there are no uncertain positions taken or expected to be taken that would require recognition of a liability (or asset) or disclosure in the financial statements. Management believes that gba is no longer subject to income tax examinations for tax years prior to 2011.

PART XI, LINE 2D - OTHER ADJUSTMENTS:

Special event reclass 36,638. Loss on disposal reclass 321.

PART XII, LINE 2D - OTHER ADJUSTMENTS:

Special event reclass 36,638. Loss on disposal reclass 321.

IRS990/Desc0PITTSBURGH 2030 DISTRICT: THE 2030 DISTRICT IS BASED ON THE NATIONAL 2030 CHALLENGE, WHICH WAS INITIATED IN 2002 BY ARCHITECTURE 2030 IN RESPONSE TO THE CLIMATE CHANGE CRISIS AS A WAY TO RAPIDLY TRANSFORM THE U.S. AND GLOBAL BUILDING SECTOR FROM BEING THE MAJOR CONTRIBUTOR OF GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS TO BECOMING A CENTRAL PART OF THE SOLUTION TO THE CLIMATE CHANGE, ENERGY CONSUMPTION, AND ECONOMIC CRISES. THE CORE OF THE 2030 CHALLENGE IS SUBSTANTIAL REDUCTIONS IN ENERGY, WATER, AND TRANSPORTATION CARBON EMISSIONS BY THE YEAR 2030. THE PITTSBURGH 2030 DISTRICT EXTRAPOLATES THE NATIONAL CHALLENGE GOALS BY TAILORING THEM TO REGIONALLY SPECIFIC NEEDS (E.G., INDOOR AIR QUALITY MEASURES) AND ENSURING THAT THEY ARE LINKED TO THE ECONOMIC COMPETITIVENESS OF THE REGION IN THE COMING DECADES.
