Similarly the ucsd alumni associations operating costs, space and facility needs are provided by the uc san diego campus free of charge, as a supporting organization in compliance with the university of california policy. Contributionsthe ucsd alumni association soliticits gifts in conjunction with its fundraising activities. The uc san diego foundation is the primary depository of the donations received by the alumni association. Gifts processed by the uc san diego foundation on behalf of the alumni association include 100% tax deductible donations plus memberships and special event proceeds in which a portion of the contributions received may include quid pro quo items.expensescertain operating expenses of the association included in this return are subsidized by the university of california. The subsidy attributable to the operating expenses are included in indirect public support.”
