THE UC SAN DIEGO FOUNDATION IS THE PRIMARY DEPOSITORY OF DONATIONS RECEIVED TO SUPPORT THE ASSOCIATION. Similarly the ucsd alumni association's operating costs, space and facility needs are provided by the uc san diego campus free of charge, as a supporting organization in compliance with university of california policy.contributionsthe ucsd alumni association solicits gifts in conjunction with its fundraising activities. The uc san diego foundation is the primary depository of the donations received by the alumni association. Gifts processed by the uc san diego foundation on behalf of the ucsd alumni association include 100% tax deductible donations plus memberships and special event proceeds in which a portion of the contributions received may include quid pro quo items.for the fiscal year ending june 30, 2014, the alumni of the university donated $2,523,890 to ucsd foundation in support of the university.conflict of interest policyas employees of the university of california, the alumni association staff is subject to the conflict of interest policies established by the university of california.”
