Mission

The offshore marine service association is the leading association of and spokesman for the offshore marine transportation service industry. The mission is to vigorously defend the cabotage laws of the united states, to proactively foster, develop, and promote positions which are favorable to the common good of its members with governmental and regulatory bodies, worldwide. We encourage and promote the highest standards of safety training and environmental protection of its member companies.

Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

The association adopted the provisions of financial accounting standards board accounting standards codification ("fasb asc") 740, accounting for uncertainty in income taxes. Management of the association believes there is no material uncertain tax position and, accordingly it will not recognize any liability for unrecognized tax benefits. With few exceptions, the association is not subject to u.s. Federal and state income tax examinations by tax authorities beyond three years from the filing of those returns.

APPROXIMATELY 275 INDIVIDUALS ATTENDED THE FOUR QUARTERLY MEETINGS IN 2017.
