The association evaluates and accounts for its uncertain tax positions in accordance with accounting standards codification (asc) topic 740, "income taxes," including the association's tax position as a tax-exempt, non-profit entity. Through its evaluation of the association's uncertain tax positions, management has determined that no uncertain tax positions existed as of july 31, 2019 or 2018, which would require the association to record a liability for the uncertain tax positions in its financial statements. The association is no longer subject to income tax examinations by the u.s. Federal, state or local taxing authorities for years before 2016.
