The 990 and all accompanying documentation will be reviewed by the board of directors for discussion and approval. Once the 990 is approved by the board of directors, the form 990 will be signed by the appropriate parties and filed with the irs. Copies of the completed 990 will be maintained in the office of the administrative assistant.

Conflict of interest policy compliance Part VI line 12C

All members of the board of directors, whether now serving or later elected, shall be informed of the bartlett centers policies with respect to conflicts of interest. The chair shall be notified of any conflict of interest arising between the bartlett center and any member of the board of directors. The board of directors shall be notified of any conflict of interest arising between the bartlett center and any member of the board of directors if such conflict of interest is relevant to any matter requiring action by the board of directors. Any such interested director shall disclose to the board of directors the nature of the conflict and shall provide the board of directors with any information relevant to the conflicted matter. Such conflicted director shall leave the meeting, etc.

Footnote for uncertain tax position under FIN 48 (Part X)

Fasb asc 740-10, accounting for uncertainty in income taxes, provides that an organization must recognize the tax benefit associated with tax taken for tax return purposes when it is more likely than not the position will be sustained. For the years ended june 30, 2023 and 2022, the center recorded no liabilities for unrecognized tax positions, interest or penalties in its financial statements.
