“The mission is to represent all mea members in bargaining, grievances and other matters relating to terms and conditions of employment in the mead school district number 354. As a teachers association, the mission includes advancing the interests of the profession and promoting the cause of education in the district and in the state of washington. Activities also include grieveance processing, arbitration and representation for teachers at state and national levels.”

“Other than stipends, officer compensation is paid by the school district and reimbursed by the association. No w-2's are issued by the association. Stipends are provided to officers and board members. Small stipends are also provided to building representatives, who are not considered board members.”
