The mission of commonwealth youthchoirs (cy) is to transform young lives through the power of making extraordinary music together joyfully - one song at a time. Transformation for our singers occurs in many different ways, on different levels, and to different degrees depending on the program a young person is entrolled in and their participation in the various activities and experiences offered. At the heart of every experience is making extraordinary, joyful music together. There is power in the singular endeavor of singing in the choir. The value and success of our mission is evident not only in the many children, families and institutions that highly value the experience we offer, but also by the ever expanding base of individual and corporate donors, the growing support of foundations, the accolades by fellow cultural organizations, and the high praise of artistic figures regionally and internationally.
