“The Form 990 will be prepared, at the discretion of the Chair of the Audit Committee and management, by either the auditing firm engaged for the fiscal year being reported or by qualified internal staff, including outsourced staff. When completed the form will be reviewed by the Vice President for Finance and Administration. Preparation of the Form 990 will not be undertaken until the annual audit has been distributed and the audit will be the basis of the financial information on the Form 990. Following review, a draft copy of the Form 990 will be sent to the Chair of the Audit Committee and the Treasurer for their review. Members of the Board will be notified that the Form 990 is available for their review if they wish to do so. Otherwise the review by the Chair of the Audit Committee and the Treasurer will constitute a review on behalf of the entire Board. Within five business days of receipt of the form, the Chair of the Audit Committee and the Treasurer will authorize management, in writing, to sign and file the Form 990 on behalf of the Organization. As a result of the audit schedule, management is authorized to extend the filing of Form 990 by three months, and if necessary, by six months.”
“Each officer, director, and key employee shall report any conflict of interest to the Chair of the Board and the Chair of the Audit Committee as soon as practical after becoming aware of such a conflict. In addition, each officer, director, and key employee shall annually complete a Conflict of Interest Questionnaire. | IRS990/Desc | 0 | Dilworth Park - During 2014, the Organization completed renovations to Dilworth Park, located on the west side of Philadelphia City Hall. As Philadelphia's Center Square, it is designed as a high-quality gateway to public transit and as a civic place with on-going programming, amenities, and activities that benefit the public and support the mission of the park. Dilworth Park is a beautifully appointed park with an interactive fountain, lush lawn and tree grove seating areas, which features a café by Iron Chef Jose Garces. The fountain, open in the warmer months, transforms into an ice skating rink each winter. Both are favorite activities for kids and adults alike. Spring through fall, the park is bustling with people enjoying the many activities happening all week long. Festivals, live musical performances, outdoor movie screenings, and happy hour specials bring an audience to the park at all hours of the day and night. Dilworth Park has been newly transformed from an inaccessible, multi-level, hard-surface plaza into a sustainable, well-maintained, green public space without stairs or barriers from the street. By covering existing openings and removing unnecessary walls, steps and barriers, the renovated Dilworth Park now has 20,571 square feet of new useable area (an increase of 21%) resulting in an expanded 120,557-square-foot public space. The underground has been dramatically improved as a new transit gateway, providing entrances to Broad Street and Market Street subways and the trolley lines. New elevators make the transit levels accessible for the first time. |
