LANDIS HOMES PROVIDES CHARITY CARE TO RESIDENTS WHO MEET CERTAIN CRITERIA WITHOUT CHARGE OR AT AMOUNTS LESS THAN ESTABLISHED RATES. IN 2015 CHARITY CARE, WHICH REPRESENTS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE ESTIMATED COST OF PROVIDING CARE AND THE PAYMENTS RECEIVED FOR SERVICES RENDERED, TOTALED $3,161,000. LANDIS HOMES SERVED ANOTHER 253 PERSONS ON A WEEKLY BASIS IN 2015 THROUGH TWO ADULT DAY SERVICE CENTERS LOCATED ON THE CAMPUS. A CHILDREN'S LEARNING CENTER PROVIDES CHILDCARE AND EDUCATION FOR INFANT TO PRESCHOOL AGE CHILDREN. AVERAGE WEEKLY ATTENDANCE IN 2015 WAS 53. LANDIS AT HOME IS A HOME AND COMMUNITY BASED SERVICES PROGRAM, SERVING CLIENTS BOTH ON AND OFF THE LANDIS HOMES CAMPUS. VISITS FOR 2015 TOTALED 26,769. LANDIS HOMES HOSTS PATHWAYS INSTITUTE, WHICH IS A LEARNING OPPORTUNITY FOR OLDER ADULTS OFFERING CLASSES ON A WIDE RANGE OF TOPICS. PATHWAYS INSTITUTE IS OPEN TO OLDER ADULTS, BOTH RESIDENTS AND NON-RESIDENTS. LANDIS HOMES ALSO HOSTS A MEMORY SUPPORT AND A PARKINSON'S SUPPORT GROUP; BOTH PROGRAMS ARE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC COMMUNITY.
