Activity 2

Residential services for people with mental illness:people with mental illness learn to live as independently as possible within their communities through resources for human development's residential services. From simple residential group living and independent apartments where residents live within the community, learning to manage their medications and take charge of their own lives, to living arrangements that offer a higher level of guidance and care for people with dual diagnoses or fragile medical conditions, rhd offers people with mental illness a real opportunity to experience community life with the highest level of independence possible.

Activity 3

Primary care, behavioral health, and other outpatient services:rhd's history of innovative services began in the behavioral health field in 1970 when it established an outpatient mental health clinic in response to the closure of state psychiatric hospitals. Since then, rhd has expanded to meet a variety of primary health care, behavioral health, addiction treatment needs, with services ranging from intensive inpatient therapy, outpatient mental health counseling, and art programs designed for healing through creativity, to inpatient treatment for people diagnosed with co-occurring mental illnesses and addictions, and a nationally recognized network of health centers providing affordable and accessible primary and dental care to people in underserved neighborhoods.
