Skilled Nursing Care Orchard Cove's Skilled Nursing Care Center provides comprehensive long-term care as well as short-term recuperative services, to help residents regain optimal levels of recovery and independence following hospital stays. The center is supported by the acclaimed professional services of Hebrew SeniorLife, a leader in senior care. Board-certified, Harvard Medical School-affiliated geriatricians and geriatric nurse practitioners direct each patient's care. The center is affiliated with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Our model of care combines an unparalleled medical and rehabilitative team with a soothing environment that provides warm and inviting areas, plenty of natural light, and all the comforts and amenities of home. Our interdisciplinary team of geriatricians, physicians, geriatric nurse practitioners, rehabilitation specialists, social workers, and certified nurse assistants are passionate about their work and committed to the well-being of patients and their families. We especially consider emotional health to be a significant factor in successful recovery and overall good health, paying close attention to the mental condition of each individual and making sure he or she is involved in the community and engaged in the activities he or she enjoys the most. Our 45-bed, Medicare-certified skilled nursing unit provides restaurant-style dining as well as access to kitchen, patio, and garden areas, to give residents plenty of places to visit with one another and with family and friends. Our exceptional medical team, state-of-the-art services, and compassionate nursing staff make all the difference in a resident's recovery experience. Hebrew SeniorLife's Home Health Care Continuum Hebrew SeniorLife's Home Health Care Continuum (HHCC), established in 1990, has become a trusted name for seniors and their families in the Greater Boston area. Our leadership team developed this renowned model of care, which delivers the highest quality of services to residents on Hebrew SeniorLife campuses and throughout their communities. Our HHCC model was designed for older adults who prefer recuperating from illnesses or injuries, or managing chronic conditions, in the comfort of their own homes. We offer skilled and compassionate nursing care, companionship, and a wide range of personal services. Whether it's assistance with the tasks of everyday living, short-term care following a hospital stay, or a permanent solution that provides live-in assistance, we will design a personal and comprehensive plan for recovery that specifically responds to an individual's medical, emotional, and personal needs. Services are offered to residents in Independent Living or Assistance-in-Living residences, as well as in the surrounding communities. HHCC is a Medicare-certified home care agency, available to provide services that are prescribed by a physician's order. We provide skilled nursing, home therapies (physical, occupational, and speech), medical social work, and home health aide services. Services are based on individual needs and the plan of care is developed in conjunction with each person's primary care physician. Whenever possible, services are billed to Medicare or other insurers. HHCC also offers a medication management program and personal care services on a limited fee-for-service basis.
