Mission and Program Overview

Mission

Maryville provides comprehensive high quality drug and alcohol addiction and co-occurring treatment services to individuals and families affected by the disease of addiction, regardless of their ability to pay.

Major Activities

Activity 2
There are currently three outpatient sites located in vineland, glassboro, and salem. All outpatient locations provide intensive outpatient and outpatient treatment. Every client who comes into treatment is given an assessment to determine their individual needs. The intensive outpatient program also includes one individual and or family session per week. Once these sessions have been completed the client is moved into the outpatient 2 section and they attend 2 times per week for 10 weeks. Once that is completed they moved into outpatient 1 and they attend 1 time per week for 4 weeks for a total of 54 sessions. This can change as the client's individual clinical needs dictates. If a client is assessed and clinically needs an outpatient level of care the following schedule is adhered to. The client who needs an outpatient 2 level of care comes 2 times per week for 10 weeks for a total of 20 sessions. A client who needs an outpatient 1 level of care comes 1 time per week for 10 weeks for a total of 10 sessions. In addition, we also provide an education group that runs for 16 weeks that is held 1 time per week. All of the above services also provide random urine drug screens throughout the program. In the vineland office we serviced 289 intensive outpatient clients and 266 outpatient clients for the period july 1, 2009 until june 30, 2010. In the glassboro office we serviced 299 intensive outpatient clients and 183 outpatient clients for the time period of july 1, 2009 until june 30, 2010. In the salem office we serviced a total of 154 clients for the time period of july 1, 2009 until june 1, 2010. Due to the inability of the salem outpatient location to support itself, it was closed as of june 1, 2010
Activity 3
The intoxicated driver resource center education program is an education course for dui offenders. The law states that all persons who have been sentenced as first-time offenders must be detained for a minimum of six hours on two consecutive days. All offenders must also be evaluated for alcohol or other drug problems and, if necessary, be referred to treatment. The program encourages positive decision-making and the reduction of recidivism by the presentation of accurate information. The program uses group process, the application of self-change and motivation strategies and the use of interactive journaling.
