OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 4: Training:FSA provides Cultural Competence Training to Division of Mental Health and Addictions funded agencies in the twelve (12) central/southern counties within the State of New Jersey. This initiative is designed to educate and train individual practitioners and provider agencies in curriculum that addresses how to better serve mental health clients within therapeutic modalities. We simultaneously provide technical assistance to this same audience, consulting and providing suggestions in improving infrastructures to better address culturally and ethnically diverse consumers.

The organization regularly reviews and evaluates its tax positions taken in previously filed information returns and as reflected in its financial statements, with regard to issues affecting its tax exempt status, unrelated business income, and related matters. The organization believes that in the event of examination by taxing authorities, its positions would prevail based upon the technical merits of such positions. Therefore, the organization has concluded that no tax benefits or liabilities are required to be recognized. SAIF works in close partnership with the county welfare authorities to assist individuals who are facing the end of their welfare eligibility.
