Mission and Program Overview

Mission

It is our mission to provide opportunities for children and youth affected by armed conflict and social injustice to find peace, prosperity and well-being through education and empowerment. We do this by: Creating awareness about the issues faced by youth affected by armed conflict and social injustice in Latin America and the world. Providing educational tools that stimulate self-esteem, interest, curiosity and innovation through our mentoring and vocational education program. Establishing relationships with the children, their caregivers, volunteers and donors and creating partnerships with universities and nonprofit organizations to further our mission.

It is our mission to provide opportunities for children and youth affected by armed conflict and social injustice to find peace, prosperity and well-being through education and empowerment.

Program Services

Through our Bound for Peace program, we recruited 4 volunteers to provide 50 children with a two-week summer day program, educating them on topics such as health and hygiene, sexual health, careers, self esteem, and social media use.$1,591$7,281
Our Children Within Our Borders Program provides tutoring, educational workshops, and mobile health clinics to underserved low-income communities. In Alachua, we provided 12 children with a year of weekly tutoring (during the academic school year) and monthly workshops, and we provided 100 individuals (children and adults) with healthcare services at 3 health fairs. In Orlando, we provided 24 children with weekly tutoring (12 per semester) and we provided open monthly educational workshops with an average attendance of 8-10 children.$0$4,022
