Children Beyond Our Borders Inc

It is our mission to provide opportunities for children and youth affected by armed conflict and social injustice to find peace, prosperity and well-being through education and empowerment. We do this by: Creating awareness about the issues faced by youth affected by armed conflict and social injustice in Latin America and the world. Providing educational tools that stimulate self-esteem, interest, curiosity and innovation through our mentoring and vocational education program. Establishing relationships with the children, their caregivers, volunteers and donors and creating partnerships with universities and nonprofit organizations to further our mission.

The Volunteer Intern Program allows individuals to get involved in an international non-profit organization through hands on experience. The VIP treats interns as employees, encouraging independence, originality, and a stress free environment. As an intern at Children Beyond Our Borders, you can help change the life of a child and also connect with hundreds of volunteers and former interns in governmental and non-governmental agencies all over the world. Bound for Peace is a service trip that sends volunteers to work with impoverished and at-risk youth. IAMCBOB is our scholarship program for students who wish to attend college. Students who demonstrate a strong desire to acquire a higher level of education, we provide an all-expenses paid ride to college. These students must be motivated to work to their best and fullest capacity while in school and to also give back to their communities by participating in civic engagement activities.
