It was recently recognized by the White House as one of the nation's most powerful and creative anti-drug programs.In 2010, Barron's Magazine recognized the Meth Project Foundation as the third most-effective philanthropy in the world.Montana Meth Project accomplishments for 2010 include:-Coordinated, implemented, produced and launched Wave 5 radio, print and television commercials-Sponsored state high school rodeo finals, "Black Saturday" with nearly 300 participants-Sponsored University of Montana and Montana State outreach events with over 40,000 attendees-Through a Teen Advisory Council, engaged teens statewide in outreach efforts-Media tour of the entire state, including seven major markets-Secured matching gift opportunity with private donor, collecting over $370,000 in unrestricted funds, outside of the core fundraising efforts-Reduction of Meth use by Montana teens from 2005-2009 by 63% (Source: Office of Public Instruction Youth Risk Behavior Survey 2009)-Continued partnership with the University of Montana School of Pharmacy to produce science-based Meth presentations-Presented at over 36 schools and community groups around Montana |
