Mission and Program Overview

Mission

To stimulate economic development in the central business district of kent through organization, promotion, design and economic restructuring and to preserve the historic character of the central business district and to protect the features which defines its character and to expand existing buildings and recruit new business to complement the current businesses and to produce tangible and intangible benefits, including rekindling downtown cooperation and civic participation, along with making downtown a fun place to visit and to receive, administer and distribute funds in connection with any activities related to the above purposes.
