Conflict of interest policy compliance Part VI line 12C

It is veterans resource groups (vrg)policy that employees and others acting on vrgs behalf must be free from conflicts of interest that could adversely influence their judgment, objectivity or loyalty to the organization in conducting vrgs business activities and assignments. In connection with any actual or possible conflicts of interest, an interested party must disclose the existence of the financial interest and must be given the opportunity to disclose all material facts to the board. After disclosure of the financial interest and all material facts, the individual shall leave the board meeting while the determination is discussed and voted on. The remaining board members shall determine if a conflict of interest exist. If a conflict of interest ,the board will determine and document the appropriate resolution.

General explanation attachment

Mission: to provide supportive employment to veterans and individuals with disabilities. About us: our supportive employment program offers individuals with disabilities the support and assistance they need to make long-term employment a reality. These individuals are afforded an opportunity to earn a competitive wage while contributing to the overall success of our society. We provide continuous job coaching and ongoing training for as long as the individual is working at no cost. Over 75% of our program partcipants have some form of disability. Some of the skills our team focuses on include but not limited to interpersonal skills: getting along with co-workers and supervisors; communication skills: listening, speaking clearly, following directions; developing the flexibility and comfort to work on a variety of tasks; productivity: providing quick and quality work that meets deadlines; organizational skills: setting priorities, completing assigned work; problem solving: making decisions, taking responsibility; personal appearance: hygiene and appropriate work attire. Partnerships with other nonprofits we also support the initiatives of other nonprofits within our community by donating food, labor and transportation services.
