Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

Living goods is a tax-exempt organization under the internal revenue code, section 501(c)(3) and related california code sections. Living goods uganda is subject to uganda's tax-exempt organization regulations while living goods kenya is subject to kenya's corporate tax regulations. Management believes that the impact of the uganda's tax-exempt organization regulations and kenya's corporate tax regulations will not have any significant impact on the consolidated financial statements. Accordingly, no provision for income taxes has been reflected in these financial statements related to the organization's activity in uganda, kenya or the united states. Management evaluated the organization's tax positions and concluded that the organization had maintained its tax exempt status and had taken no uncertain tax positions that require adjustment to the consolidated financial statements. Therefore, no provision or liability for income taxes has been included in the consolidated financial statements. With few exceptions, the living goods is no longer subject to income tax examinations by the internal revenue service for the tax years ended 2010 and before, and by the california franchise tax board for the tax year ended 2009.

IRS990ScheduleD/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt0LIVING GOODS IS A TAX-EXEMPT ORGANIZATION UNDER THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE, SECTION 501(C)(3) AND RELATED CALIFORNIA CODE SECTIONS.
