Mission and Program Overview

Mission

Women partnering is a network of women from diverse backgrounds who respond to the unmet needs of financially vulnerable women and children in the colorado springs area. See schedule o for continuation.

Major Activities

Activity 2
Woman's story: woman's story is a program which is open to all women regardless of income. It is three-dimensional: (a) a bi-monthly gathering of women where women share their needs, experiences, hopes and spiritual journeys. It provides opportunities for prayer ritual, reflection, social interaction, storytelling, and networking; (b) a bi-monthly prayer group where women on the same spiritual path explore their spiritual journeys with prayer, reflection, and sharing. It serves as a regular, intentional space during which women focus on their inner life and receive insights and affirmations for their individual questions to know and honor the divine image within; and (c) a weekend retreat held annually at mount st. Francis for women. It is designed as a time for women to come together and through sharing and reflecting, experience connectedness and spiritual renewal.
Activity 3
General program services: women partnering offers healing and wholeness journey sessions, which advance each woman's individual development plan and provide support systems. Women partnering integrates life-skill development through 1-1 mentoring, drop-inn centers, and enrichment days. Through women partnering's spiritual networking, they provide group opportunities that advance spiritual well-being. Though community networking, women partnering grows relationships with organizations in the community to ensure better service, increased collaborating and less duplication. Through policy networking, women partnering partners with groups in the community and beyond to raise awareness of the plight of financially vulnerable women and children, and, where appropriate and subject to irs limits, advocate policy change and implementation on their behalf.
