“Form 990 is compared to the Quickbooks generated financial reports to confirm accuracy of the accounting for 2024 with the numbers reported to the IRS. The form 990 is filled out by Joanie Flanagan the president of Board. The information used to answer form 990 is from the data entered into the accounting software by an independent accountant based off of receipts and records kept on hand and entered each month. These records are reconciled with all donations bank statements etc to assure accuracy.”

“| Explanation:| We received a donation of $60,000 in June of 2021 to build an additional community center. However due to circumstances beyond our control,we were unable to do this as the proposed space for this became unavailable for our use. We spoke to the donor and he asked that we return $45,000 to his family trust Del Gadio Charitable Trust via the National Philanthropic Trust byJP Morgan Charitable Giving Fund. When we contacted JP Morgan about this we were told to write a check to the National Philanthropic Trust and reference Case SF 01276271 and account ID: 185752 which we did.”

IRS990/Desc0Program Service- Education for 110 at risk youth in Roatan Honduras. Scholarships are disbursed to attend private schools to 60 students. These students and from low income homes and have been selected based on merit and need. A volunteer from SOL meets quarterly with the different teachers at the six private schools that these students attend. This helps to track the students progress and see if additional tutoring or help is needed for the student to succeed. In addition 50 students received funds towards school transportation and supplies.
