“Due to Covid in 2020 we made changes to our Program Services our Community Support Program became the largest program due to the dire need for food assistance during this time. Previously this program was our smallest program but as the majority of the island was unemployed due to lack of tourism we began to focus on helping with food donations and expanded the families that we helped. In addition to this change we also had to suspend other program for a six to nine month period due to restrictions on gatherings. It was a challenging year but we were able to adapt and plan to continue our normal programs in 2021 and scale back the food donations in the Community Support Program”

| IRS990/Desc | 0 | Program Service: Community Support- Historically this has been our smallest program but due to Covid it became our largest program where the vast majority of our funds were spent. This program in prior years was to administer funds and help the families of the youth involved in other program services when they needed additional help due to illness death or emergencies. As tourism is the number one industry on the island the covid pandemic left over 60% of the island unemployed and in dire need. We started providing bags of food to the families of the youth that we generally work with and this grew into an island wide food assistance program. With the help of two local NGOs we purchases coordinated and delivered food to thousands of households on a rotating basis. This program resulted in our growth on this island as the other NGOs introduced us to new communities and we also gained more new volunteers who were devoted to the cause. We would deliver anywhere from 100 to 300 food bags to households around the island most days for a solid 7 months. Thankfully as the island reopened to tourists we began to scale this program back and focus on our other core programs. |
