Mission

Assist people who are experiencing who are struggling to maintain food, shelter, and clothing

In partnership with 2nd harvest and local schools, the organization provides four weekend meals during the school year for food-insecure children.the organization maintains a centrally located storage and distribution facility that provides nourishing food to more than 800 people every month.the organization provides good quality clothing twice a month to help individuals and families with clothing needs.the organization sends teams into the community to assist in events such as neighborhood clean up and school supply distributions.

LAST YEAR WE DISTRIBUTED MORE THAN 500,000 POUNDS OF FOOD.AS A 2ND HARVEST PARTNER AGENCY, WE WERE ALSO ABLE TO PROVIDE 30 FOOD BOXED PER MONTH TO SENIOR CITIZENS AND THOUSANDS OF POUNDS OF TEFAP GOVERNMENT FOOD FOR THOSE IN NEED.WE ALSO PARTNERED WITH 2ND HARVEST TO PROVIDE FOUR WEEKEND "BITE-TO-GO MEALS" FOR 100 FOOD INSECURE CHILDREN EVERY WEEK DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR.OUR OWN SUMMER MEAL PROGRAM PROVIDED A WEEK'S WORTH OF FOOD TO 50 CHILDREN FOR EIGHT WEEKS THIS SUMMER.IN ADDITION, OUR CLOTHING OUTREACH HAS PROVIDED 50,000 POUNDS OF CLOTHING TO OUR CLIENTS, INCLUDING SPORTS ITEMS, WARM CLOTHING, AND PROM DRESSES!SERVE SPOKANE WORKS WITH THE SOCIAL WORKER IN OUR LOCAL SCHOOL IN PROVIDING SCHOOL SUPPLIES AND BACKPACKS FOR FAMILIES IN NEED. WE ALSO PROVIDED A NUMBER OF THANKSGIVING DINNERS AND SPONSORED CHRISTMAS GIFTS TO 50 SCHOOL FAMILIES.DURING THE CHRISTMAS SEASON, WE WERE ABLE TO HOST A PARTY AT LIFE SERVICES FOR WOMEN WHO ARE DEALING WITH AN UNPLANNED PREGNANCY.ALL OF THIS IS POSSIBLE BECAUSE OF THE CARING PEOPLE IN OUR COMMUNITY - SPORTS TEAMS, CHURCHES, BUSINESSES, AND INDIVIDUALS HAVE ALL CONTRIBUTED TO SERVE OUR NEIGHBORS.
