Mission and Program Overview

Mission

Roccs is an acronym for the rowing organization of citrus county students. Our purpose is to introduce the sport of crew to any citrus county student who has the drive and determination to pursue it and to provide a resource to adult rowers of all ages. Since roccs was formed in 2007, many of our rowers have gone on to compete at the collegiate level and have earned scholarships in rowing. In fact, collegiate rowing scholarships are more attainable than any other sport, with 1 out of 2 girls and 1 out of 6 boys earning scholarships. Roccs' goal is to develop and coach athletes to perform at the highest levels of competition in our sport, and to promote teamwork, commitment, and increased levels of physical fitness.
