Mission

Children & Youth Services, Community Outreach in India. The Ashraya Initiative for Children is dedicated to improving the lives and shaping the futures of vulnerable children in Pune, India by advancing educational opportunities, nurturing holistic development and building healthy, empowered communities. The organization runs various programs to the benefit of slum and street children and their families in Pune, India.

Program Services

DescriptionGrantsExpenses
The Ashraya Initiative for Children (AIC) Education Outreach Program provides daily material, emotional and, primarily, educational support to young slum and street children ages 3 to 17 from our vicinity, who show the most pressing needs. They are selected on a case-by-case basis through fieldwork. The children receive financial support for school fees, as well as tutoring at our Education Outreach Center. In addition, we provide meals, medical aid, clothing, shoes and transportation to and from schools, counseling and other services to the children and their families.$0$125,742
