Our vision of success will be realized when rural communities demonstrate the capacity to attain a high quality of life for current and future generations, when rural residents feel empowered to work collaboratively toward a shared vision for the future, and when public and private sector resources are maximized toward this end through effective coordination.

IRS990/Desc0Maine Rural Partners continued community energy education as well as its coordination of the Farm Energy Partners network. We published Solar and Biomass Buyers' Guides, conducted energy education workshops and delivered farm energy audits and renewable assessments. We worked with the Aroostook Band of Micmacs, Emera Maine and USDA-NRCS to install and monitor the effectiveness of air-to-air heat pumps in a challenging cold climate. We provide technical assistance for farms and rural small businesses to reduce energy costs. We facilitate leveraging of state, federal and private resources.
