“Job path, inc. Has its form 990 prepared by an outside accounting firm and has established the following review process to ensure that the information reported is complete and accurate. When the form 990 has been prepared, reviewed by management and is ready to be filed with the internal revenue service, it is electronically sent to the director of finance of the organization. The director of finance will then electronically send the completed draft to each of the members of the finance committee. The committee will review and provide comments and any suggested changes. After making any changes required after review by the finance committee, the form 990 will be sent to each member of the board of trustees at least five business days before filing the form 990.”
“If a board member believes that they have a conflict, they must disclose it to the board chair, which will be reflected in the minutes of the board meeting. A person who has a conflict of interest shall not participate in the board's or committee's discussion of the matter except to disclose material facts and to respond to questions. A vote will then take place among the disinterested board members to determine if the organization should proceed with the arrangement. If a key employee has a conflict of interest, they shall disclose this conflict to the executive director and the board chair, and appropriate measures will be taken. Each director and key employee shall annually sign and submit a statement which affirms such person has received a copy of the conflict of interest policy and has agreed to comply with the policy. This was last completed in march of 2015”
“In advance of the review of compensation by the job path board of trustees, job path's compliance officer prepared a review of the total remuneration provided to the executive director and other highly compensated staff. The review included the use of guidestar to select comparable organizations and the review of the most recent forms 990 filed by these organizations. In addition, the compliance officer compared compensation and benefits information from these reports: new york city area nonprofits salary survey report 2013-2014 by professionals for nonprofits and 2013 charity ceo compensation study by charity navigator. This review was independent of any job path staff and was provided directly to the board of trustees. The board reviewed the report at a meeting held on june 30, 2015 which was documented in minutes for the meeting. The board accepted and determined, based on the review, that the compensation for all top managers at job path was reasonable.”
“The organization makes its form 990 available for public inspection as required under section 6104 of the internal revenue code by posting it on guidestar.org and other similar types of websites. In addition, the financial statements, conflict of interest policy, articles of incorporation and by-laws are also available upon written request at 22 west 38th street, new york, ny 10018...or by calling the organization directly at (212)944-0564.”
“The organization has a committee that assumes responsibility for oversight of the audit of its financial statements and selection of an independent accountant. This process did not change from the prior year.”
“The board designated fund holds and administer certain funds for the purpose of generating income for job path's innovative projects.”
“Job path recognizes the effect of income tax positions only if those positions are more likely than not to be sustained. Management has determined that job path had no uncertain tax positions that would require financial statement recognition or disclosure. Job path is no longer subject to examinations by the applicable taxing jurisdictions for periods prior to june 30, 2012.”

| IRS990/ProgSrvcAccomActy2Grp/Desc | 0 | SUPPORTED LIVING: ALTHOUGH TRADITIONAL RESIDENTIAL PROGRAMS PROVIDE WELL-STRUCTURED SUPPORTS, JOB PATH BELIEVES THAT EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO LIVE IN THEIR OWN HOME, REGARDLESS OF THEIR SUPPORT NEEDS. WE STARTED OUR SUPPORTED LIVING PROGRAM MORE THAN TWENTY YEARS AGO TO MAKE THAT BELIEF A REALITY. TODAY THE PROGRAM SUPPORTS 32 PEOPLE, INCLUDING TWO WHO ENROLLED IN THE LAST YEAR. THIS YEAR WE HAVE BEEN PLANNING A NEW SUPPORTED LIVING PROJECT: WEST SIDE CONNECTIONS. THIS PROJECT WILL ENABLE SIX YOUNG PEOPLE ON THE AUTISM SPECTRUM TO LIVE IN THEIR OWN APARTMENTS AND DEVELOP CONNECTIONS TO ONE ANOTHER AND TO THE BROADER COMMUNITY. WE'VE BEEN WORKING WITH THESE YOUNG PEOPLE AND THEIR FAMILIES TO DEVELOP THE PROJECT. THEY HAVE HIRED A DIRECTOR, AND WE EXPECT AN OFFICIAL LAUNCH IN FEBRUARY, 2016. |

| IRS990/ProgSrvcAccomActy3Grp/Desc | 0 | EMPLOYMENT: JOB PATH WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1978 TO FIND WAYS TO HELP PEOPLE WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES MOVE INTO THE MAINSTREAM WORKFORCE. THE FIRST PROGRAM OF THIS KIND IN NEW YORK STATE AND ONE OF THE FIRST IN THE COUNTRY, TODAY JOB PATH WORKS WITH EMPLOYERS ACROSS NEW YORK CITY TO ENSURE THAT EVEN PEOPLE WITH THE MOST COMPLEX SUPPORT NEEDS CAN OBTAIN JOBS WELL SUITED TO THEIR TALENTS AND ABILITIES. THE PROGRAM SUPPORTS CLOSE TO 300 PEOPLE. WE LAUNCHED TWO NEW EFFORTS THIS PAST YEAR, BOTH FOCUSED ON HELPING YOUNG PEOPLE MAKE THE TRANSITION FROM SPECIAL EDUCATION TO THE WORKFORCE. IN ADDITION, JOB PATH'S CONSORTIUM FOR CUSTOMIZED EMPLOYMENT (CCE) IS WORKING TO EXPAND A NETWORK OF EMPLOYERS COMMITTED TO USING THESE STRATEGIES TO HIRE MEN AND WOMEN WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES. NOW IN ITS FOURTH YEAR, THE CCE HAS A NETWORK OF 26 EMPLOYERS REPRESENTING 29 SEPARATE BUSINESSES. MANY OF THESE BUSINESSES HAVE HIRED MORE THAN ONE PERSON FROM ONE OF TEN CCE AGENCIES. FOR EXAMPLE, THE UNION SQUARE HOSPITALITY GROUP EMPLOYS THIRTEEN PEOPLE ACROSS THREE OF ITS RESTAURANTS AND MULTIPLE SHAKE SHACK LOCATIONS. |

THIS PROGRAM WILL ALSO EXPAND IN THE YEAR AHEAD. JOB PATH'S MSCS ARE STRONG ADVOCATES, HELPING INDIVIDUALS AND THEIR FAMILIES NAVIGATE COMPLEX SYSTEMS TO OBTAIN NEEDED SERVICES AND BENEFITS. IN PARTICULAR, BECAUSE SO MANY PEOPLE ARE WORKING, MSCS HELP PEOPLE AND THEIR FAMILIES UNDERSTAND THE EFFECT OF EMPLOYMENT ON SSI/SSDI AND OTHER BENEFITS AND ENSURE THAT THEY ARE TAKING ADVANTAGE OF WORK INCENTIVES AND COMPLYING WITH REGULATIONS.FINALLY, JOB PATH'S HARLEM-BASED URBAN INNOVATIONS EFFORT SUPPORTS 16 RESIDENTS OF THAT COMMUNITY AS THEY CONTRIBUTE TO A RANGE OF LOCAL PROJECTS. OVER THE PAST YEAR, FOR EXAMPLE, URBAN INNOVATORS WORKED WITH THE HARLEM ARTISTS COLLABORATIVE TO DESIGN AND INSTALL TEN LITTLE FREE LIBRARY STATIONS IN HARLEM PARTKS.. |
