“The board of directors annually reviews the salary of the executive director and fiscal director. The salaries for each position are compared with salary surveys of the united neighborhood houses and the council of family and childcare agencies. Both, the united neighborhood houses and the council of family and childcare agencies' salary surveys are organized in regard to the size/funding of comparable sized/funded agencies (e.g. Annual budgets $10,000,000 or $20,000,000, etc.). The organization compares the salaries of the executive and fiscal directors with comparable sized agencies. The executive director recommends salaries for all administrative staff to the board of directors. These recommendations are based on the employees' performance, agency fiscal status, and comparable assessments provided through the united neighborhood houses and the council of family and childcare agencies. The fiscal committee similarly reviews the executive director's salary and forwards its recommendation to the full board of directors.”

In order to support families in crisis, the organization's programs provide: a) preventive and intensive preventive individual, family and group counseling and professional psychotherapy focused on domestic issues, substance abuse, aids, and post-traumatic stress disorders. B) community and school based educational programs for children, parents and families focused on academic achievement, socialization skills, creative and cultural arts, recreation, college preparation and employment skills.
