The organization has non voting members. A new membership fee structure has been introduced which eliminates fees based on enrollment. The new structure offers three choices and each has an annual fee: stay connected membership, value membership, and premium school membership. There are no voting privileges with membership.

ADDITIONALLY, THE PRESIDENT MET WITH MANY NON-MEMBER COMMUNITY SCHOOL OPERATORS AND MANAGEMENT COMPANIES REGARDING MEMBERSHIP IN THE COALITION. AS A RESULT, THE COALITION'S SCHOOL MEMBERSHIP INCREASED SUBSTANTIALLY. IN ADDITION WE ADDED THREE MANAGEMENT COMPANIES.THE COALITION'S FISCAL ROUNDTABLE STAKEHOLDER GROUP AND THE AUDITOR OF STATE'S ADVISORY COMMITTEE CONTINUE ITS STRONG RELATIONSHIP.THE COALITION HAS SUCCESSFULLY CREATED OTHER STAKEHOLDER GROUPS AS FOLLOWS: SPECIAL ED ROUNDTABLE, E-SCHOOL ROUNDTABLE AND THE SCHOOL ACCOUNTABILITY ROUNDTABLE. RECENTLY, OCQE ESTABLISHED THE DROP OUT RECOVERY ROUNDTABLE TO WORK WITH THAT GROUP OF SCHOOLS.WE CONTINUE TO WORK WITH OUR RELATED GROUP, PARENTS FOR CHARTER SCHOOLS. THE MISSION IS TO GET PARENTS INVOLVED IN ADVOCATING FOR THEIR CHARTER SCHOOL AND THE IMPORTANCE OF PARENT CHOICE BY USING SOFTWARE THAT WILL ENABLE THEM TO IMMEDIATELY CONNECT WITH LEGISLATORS IN THE OHIO HOUSE AND SENATE THROUGH THEIR CELL PHONE. IT WILL GIVE A VOICE TO PARENTS.THE COALITION CONTINUES TO STAY CURRENT ON DISCUSSIONS AND DECISIONS MADE BY THE STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION, AS WELL AS THE OHIO DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION THAT MAY AFFECT CHARTER SCHOOLS. UNFORTUNATELY, THE OHIO DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION, THE STATE BOARD AND SOME LEGISLATORS SEEM TO BE DOING ALL THEY CAN TO PUT CHARTER SCHOOLS IN OHIO OUT OF BUSINESS. RECENTLY, AS A RESULT OF THEIR ACTIONS, THE LARGEST ONLINE SCHOOL IN OHIO WAS FORCED TO CLOSE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SCHOOL YEAR LEAVING 12,000 STUDENTS AND PARENTS TO FIND ANOTHER SCHOOL FOR THEIR SON OR DAUGHTER.
