Activity 2

Our skilled educators and trainers provided 1,659 medically accurate sexuality education programs to more than 26,000 professionals, students, teens, parents, families, and members of community-based organizations. We offered 95 programs in spanish, reaching over 2,600 native speakers. Our two smart wheels vans educated 5,350 teens, college students, young adults, and community members at day laborer sites, health fairs, summer recreation programs, college campuses, schools, urban shopping districts, homeless shelters, and drug treatment centers.

Activity 3

In the face of mounting opposition and political attacks, we continued to recruit, engage, and mobilize supporters of all ages, focusing our advocacy efforts on protecting and advancing the fundamental right to reproductive freedom. Pphp recruited more than 400 supporters to rally in new york city and washington dc. While in dc we visited all pphp congress members' offices. Pphp gained 9,301 new supporters based on the online "i stand with planned parenthood" open letter. In addition, approximately 85 activists were recruited through the "birth control matters" campaign throughout the summer.
