Developing radio partners brings the most important development information to those hardest to reach in africa using the most widely used medium--radio--by enriching the programming of community based radio stations. We train journalists about climate-smart agriculture, health for women and youth through workshops,weekly bulletins on timely issues with a problem statement and solutions and production tips. We provide funds for community activities and on-site mentoring. As a result, farmers have improved their livelihoods, trees have been planted, cholera reduced and health services made more accessible. Drp has worked in zambia, rwanda, cameroon, malawi and cape verde in recent years. By providing much-needed training, drp helps radio stations live up to their potential of being powerful agents for positive change.”
