“Management services were provided by an interim executive director for a portion of the tax year, until the current ceo was hired. The interim executive director functioned as an independent contractor.”
“The cpa preparing the return presents the return to the board of directors at a regular board meeting for review and approval prior to filing the return.”
“Directors are required to disclose immediately upon election and annually thereafter any conflict of interest involving the director. A form is provided to directors to complete if a conflict of interest arises, and directors are prohibited from voting on any matters involving a conflict of interest. Employees who believe they may have a problem regarding the conflict of interest policy are to report the details to their immediate supervisors, who will then discuss the details with the executive director. Failure to report such interests results in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment or removal from the board of directors.”
“The board of directors conducts an annual performance review and evaluation of the executive director. Increases in the executive director's salary are determined by the board of directors, who take into account funding available to the organization, the executive director's performance and qualifications, and a market study of staff salaries.”
“Salaries for all employees are determined by the executive director, who takes into account the nature of the position, availability of funding, the employee's qualifications and experience and a market study of staff salaries. Salaries for grant-funded positions are determined by the availability of funding and the terms of applicable grants.”
“The organization's annual reports and audited financial statements are posted on the organization's website. The organization plans to post both the bylaws and the conflict of interest policy on the organization's website in the near future.”
“Community education- the goal of the community education and public relations program is to provide both information and education about domestic violence and interval house to the 24 towns we serve. The program also builds and maintains positive relationships within our community and within our catchment area. Efforts are continually being made to reach into the community through the use of volunteer energy with speaking bureau and resource fairs. Volunteer program - at interval house, we respect and rely on the work of our volunteers. We have an active and varied group of volunteers in the community that provide both direct and non-direct services to the agency. All direct service volunteers, those who have contact with clients are required to undergo an intense 30 hour training, on domestic violence and are certified as battered women's counselors. Non direct services assist in the daily clerical, maintenance, special events, etc. Activities that do not require contact with our clients. Domestic violence outreach team - a unique program housed at the manchester police department that partners an interval house advocate with a manchester police officer. Satellite offices - currently located in manchester, these satellite offices offer both one on one and women's group counseling sessions, as well as children's groups and a 24 hour hotline.”
