Other Program Services, Form 990 Part III, Question 4D

The center provided the following other program services for the fiscal year 2015: the teen advisory council: the teen advisory council is an elite group of regional teens that serve as ambassadors for the westport arts center through their dedication and leadership. Members of the teen advisory council plan events for their peers, create strategy for teen programming, and develop promotional materials to accompany events and programs under the direction of the art center staff and an advisory council moderator. The teen advisory council shares the westport arts center's mission to connect the community through the arts by creating opportunities and experiences that enrich the lives of area residents. Young shoots digital photography contest: the westport arts center (wac) and community partners sponsor young shoots, a student digital photography competition for ages 8-18. The competition is designed to enable students to demonstrate their creativity and originality through the digital photography medium and to showcase the local color and vibrancy of the community. Westport artists' collective: the westport artists' collective is a group of creative individuals who have joined forces to discuss, create, and develop dynamic experiences for the fairfield county community. The collective is open to all active artists in pursuit of expanding their careers and in developing a strong, diverse arts community.

The center established an audit committee during the year. The center's executive director and audit committee assume the responsibility for oversight of the audit of the financial statements and selection of independent accountant.
