“Community garden network-create a network for individual gardens to collaborate sharing resources, hosting events, securing volunteers, and fundraising. -partnered with intern from unc asheville to conduct in person community garden assessment of 24 gardens in asheville and buncombe county. -provided 24 gardens stipends for completing assessment, these gardens are located in neighborhoods, schools, and churches. Several of them serve low wealth and people of color -hired 1 staff positions to be the network garden coordinator, determined to be the urgent need from the assessment for success of this program. The position is a person of color and part of the cgn.-developed infrastructure for community garden network. -hosted monthly meetings for the cgn.”
