Changes to bylaws include the following: New members to be nominated in May and elections held in June. Overall committee structure was consolidated to 3, consisting of the Internal Affairs Committee [finance and governance matters], External Affairs Committee [development, fundraising and marketing matters], and Executive Committee.

Form 990, Part VI, Line 11B: Form 990 Review Process

The Internal Affairs Committee receives a draft copy of Form 990 from the CPA prior to filing for review. The governing board of the organization reviews and approves the final copy prior to filing.

Form 990, Part VI, Line 12C: Explanation of Monitoring and Enforcement of Conflicts

The board of trustees annually reviews and updates the organizations conflict of interest policy along with all human resource policies.

In relation to this, a youth development initiative attracts up to 20 teens per year to the art center for training and experience in education, leadership, and administrative skills.

IRS990/ProgSrvcAccomActy2Grp/Desc0West Windsor Arts Council (WWAC) draws audiences of up to 300 from the greater Mercer county area per event for its exhibitions focusing on relevant, thematic topics such as STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math), free community events, film presentations, and live performances. WWAC has over 450 members, over 40 artist instructors, and up to 200 exhibiting artists and performers. Film, music, and dance performances focus on diverse perspectives. Pegasus Theatre Project, a professional, non-profit theater group, is now the resident theater company presenting plays that integrate into programming. Free community events include WwacFest Summer Music and the "Autumn Arts Afternoon" family arts festival. Partnerships with groups such as the Minority Concerns Committee of Mercer County, Rise of Hightstown, NJ and more extend reach to underserved communities.
