Srt promotes classic plays and adaptations, providing forums for collaboration between emerging artists and established professionals. With classics in the classroom, srt aims not only to entertain, but also to educate young people by engaging them with timeless literature through expressive theatre.”

“Sonnet repertory theatre, inc held a mini-retreat at one of our core member's houses and decided a hiatus was necessary given the changes and opportunities some of our board members and artistic staff have received. We have been fortunate to have participated and create partnerships with other artists and organizations in new york city these past sixteen years, and we have continued to support their work during this time. We have participated in workshops, spoken on panels, and attended productions and events while celebrating and promoting these accomplishments through our social media channels. All of this work, which we have volunteered our time and energy for, has resulted in continued relationships with these artists and arts organizations. We plan to update our website and have another retreat this summer to discuss srt's future endeavors”
