International-In Feb 2015 5 medical professionals and 7 volunteers went to Costa Rica to perform 2 cochlear implant surgeries for needy children and train local MDs on cochlear implant surgical techniques. These services were performed at San Rafael Archangel hospital. Implants were donated by Cochlear america, and the operating suite and local staff were donated by this hospital. The Medical professionals were the surgeon (CEO Dr Roberson), a physician assistant, an instrument tech, an audiologist and a medical assistant. The audiologist perfomed implant programming on these children and also trained local professionals on implant programming. All professionals were free of charge to the foundation.00$114,515

These services were performed at San Rafael Archangel hospital. Implants were donated by Cochlear america, and the operating suite and local staff were donated by this hospital. The Medical professionals were the surgeon (CEO Dr Roberson), a physician assistant, an instrument tech, an audiologist and a medical assistant. The audiologist perfomed implant programming on these children and also trained local professionals on implant programming. All professionals were free of charge to the foundation.
