Income taxes the organization is exempt from income taxes under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code. The organization's income tax filings are subject to audit by various taxing authorities. The organization's open audit periods are 2014 through 2017. The organization believes it has met all the requirements to maintain its not-for-profit status and does not have any unrelated business income which would result in taxable income. It is the organization's policy to expense when paid any interest and penalties associated with its income tax obligations.
