“The weare athletic club is organized to provide recreational sports to the children, primarily ages four to sixteen, of weare nh in the sports of baseball, softball, basketball, soccer, lacrosse and cheer. Sportsmanship and team building skills are stressed over winning.”
“The baseball, softball and tball teams had a total of 205 players. 10u softball went to the finals against the town of henniker. The game went into extra innings before weare lost by 1 run. It was a great time with lots of sportsmanship. Several kids from weare athletic club (wac) participated in the all stars kms tournament and 3 kids from 10u made the travel to nh coments/nh lightening teams. Our other spring sport, lacrosse had a total of 112 players from kindergarten to 8th grade. They held a car wash at the weare middle school and raised almost 1,000 in a donation only fundraiser to help with their spring field rental at new england college (nec). Due to a wet spring wac again rented field space from nec, a nearby college in order for players to practice outdoors. This seems to be a problem every spring for lacrosse as the town of weare has limited town fields and the ones provided all need updating.”
“The basketball program had a very successful season with 170 players. Our 3rd/4th grade girls team and our 5th/6th grade boys team both played in the finals, with the 3rd/4th grade boys team taking 1st place for their grade levels. Basketball ran a clinic during the summer for children to improve on and learn new skills. 30 participants made up of 2nd-5th graders attended the morning session and 20 6th-9th graders attended in the afternoon. It was a lot of fun and a great success”
“The soccer program ran a spring clinic in town that helped players improve skills. Wac again partnered with challenger sports to hold a summer camp at the weare middle school. Soccer's fall season had 218 players making 23 teams.”
“The cheer program continued to improve with the director's dedication towards the children and the program. Registration again almost doubled from previous years. The addition of our inspirations team for special needs students has encouraged other groups/towns to create inspirations teams of their own. The 4th-6th grade cheer team took 1st place in one of their competitions. Cheer clinics were held at ece in august to help participants improve their skills. Wac cheer runs programs in the fall and winter, 80 students signed up for the fall session.”

| IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt | 3 | THE WEARE ATHLETIC CLUB IS ORGANIZED TO PROVIDE RECREATIONAL SPORTS TO THE CHILDREN, PRIMARILY AGES FOUR TO SIXTEEN, OF WEARE NH IN THE SPORTS OF BASEBALL, SOFTBALL, BASKETBALL, SOCCER, LACROSSE AND CHEER. SPORTSMANSHIP AND TEAM BUILDING SKILLS ARE STRESSED OVER WINNING. |
| IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt | 4 | THE BASEBALL, SOFTBALL AND TBALL TEAMS HAD A TOTAL OF 205 PLAYERS. THIS SEEMS TO BE A PROBLEM EVERY SPRING FOR LACROSSE AS THE TOWN OF WEARE HAS LIMITED TOWN FIELDS AND THE ONES PROVIDED ALL NEED UPDATING. |
| IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt | 5 | THE BASKETBALL PROGRAM HAD A VERY SUCCESSFUL SEASON WITH 170 PLAYERS. IT WAS A LOT OF FUN AND A GREAT SUCCESS |
| IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt | 6 | THE SOCCER PROGRAM RAN A SPRING CLINIC IN TOWN THAT HELPED PLAYERS IMPROVE SKILLS. WAC AGAIN PARTNERED WITH CHALLENGER SPORTS TO HOLD A SUMMER CAMP AT THE WEARE MIDDLE SCHOOL. SOCCER'S FALL SEASON HAD 218 PLAYERS MAKING 23 TEAMS. |
| IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt | 7 | THE CHEER PROGRAM CONTINUED TO IMPROVE WITH THE DIRECTOR'S DEDICATION TOWARDS THE CHILDREN AND THE PROGRAM. WAC CHEER RUNS PROGRAMS IN THE FALL AND WINTER, 80 STUDENTS SIGNED UP FOR THE FALL SESSION. |
