IRS990/Desc0Open Educational Resource OER Program Continues to be a resounding success. Unique users who contribute research and download materials at http//voer.edu.vn is 50,000 to 80,000 per day 25-100 increase over 2014. In peak period, this can reach 100,000 users. To accommodate the increase, we are developing more user functions for our Hanoi Spring software and maintaining strong hardware with 5 servers at our data center. To accelerate the growth of both active users/contributors and qualified content, we collaborated with the Vietnam Northern Academic Library Association, the Vietnam Southern Academic Library Association and the Center for Research and Development on Open Technology under the Vietnam Ministry of Science and Technology to organize a series of OER workshops and training sessions at four universities across Vietnam, attracting 180 participants who were university leaders, managers of libraries, librarians and faculty members. They were the key people to directly contribute their materials to our OER website and spread our call for qualified materials.

IRS990/ProgSrvcAccomActy3Grp/Desc0Assistance to handicapped, especially blind students in local universities and schools. First, supporting The Talking Books Library for the Blind. VNF contributed USD 135000 to complete a new community ctr in Ho Chi Minh City to house their library and other NGO organizations. There will be 6 professional recording studios to produce audio books available online for free so blind children and the elderly and also sighted people can have easy access to books. Second, Sun Flower scholarship for blind college students - 465 scholarships to date, 61 this year. Many recipients have graduated and become successful in their work and are mentors to other young blind students. Our scholarship program has become motivation and inspiration for many generations of blind students. Third, laptop award for blind students 122 to date, 17 this year. Last, Light of Lotus scholarship for blind kids who are studying at the special boarding school for the blind, many with inborn multiple disabilities and from poor families. This year VNF granted 50 scholarships to these children.
