To develop and administer programs to enhance the safety and quality of life for children and youth and families through a comprehensive continuum of care in the fields of social services, education, corrections, mental health and housing.

Form 990, Page 2, Part III, Line 4C

Living status to reduce cycles of instability and enhances the individuals' quality of life. Housing program - the rgh housing program consists of permanent housing for maine's homeless as well as housing for low, moderate, and workforce clients in the local community. Home to stay - mainehousing, in partnership with housing assistance agencies, offers the home to stay program for individuals and families who are homeless and seeking permanent housing. Home to stay uses resources such as the stability through engagement program (step) and the housing choice voucher program (hcvp) to help individuals and families achieve permanent and stable housing. Working with a trained navigator, program participants learn and gain valuable skills to meet their health, housing, employment and other basic needs. A navigator helps individuals and families create a housing stability plan designed to connect the program participants with appropriate services and support, and assist them to find and maintain permanent housing. Participants need to meet with their navigator regularly and develop goals to achieve and retain stable housing.

Rumford group homes, inc. Is exempt from federal income taxes under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code and has been determined not to be a private foundation within the meaning of section 509(a)(2) of the code. In addition, rgh qualifies for the charitable contribution deduction under section 170(b)(1)(a). Management evaluated the organization's tax positions and concluded that the organization had taken no uncertain tax positions that required adjustment to the financial statements. When necessary, the organization accounts for interest and penalties related to uncertain tax positions as part of its provision for federal and state income taxes. The organization does not expect that unrecognized tax benefits arising from tax positions will change significantly within the next twelve months. The organization is currently open to audit under the statute of limitations by the internal revenue service and state taxing authorities for the years ending june 30, 2013 through 2016.
