Program Services

DescriptionGrantsExpenses
During its inaugural 2024 tax year, Miracle Workers Alliance's Gamers for Wellness program established an innovative mental health initiative within gaming communities through three key components: (1) Interactive Programming - hosting 12 free online events engaging 150+ participants through moderated gaming sessions that taught coping strategies while combating isolation; (2) Crisis Resources - creating and distributing a globally accessible digital resource guide with localized crisis hotlines and mental health tools; and (3) Community Building - started to cultivate a social media community that normalizes mental health discussions through gaming culture. These efforts directly addressed mental health stigma while providing accessible support to an at-risk demographic. The program has laid critical groundwork to become both a signature service and sustainable funding source, with 2025 plans to expand partnerships.$0$0

IRS990ScheduleA/Form990ScheduleAPartVIGrp/ExplanationTxt0Miracle Workers Alliance is a newly formed nonprofit organization that operates to promote mental health awareness and wellness, particularly through online outreach and community-based initiatives such as "Gamers for Wellness." As a new organization in its first year of operation (2024), Miracle Workers Alliance received a total of $621 in public support through small contributions from individuals. The organization anticipates growth in both program reach and community contributions over the coming years, consistent with public support requirements under Section 170(b)(1)(A)(vi). Since the organization is within its first five tax years as a 501(c)(3), it qualifies for the advance ruling period and meets the requirements for public charity classification under Section 170(b)(1)(A)(vi).

ReasonableCauseExplanation/ExplanationTxt0Miracle Workers Alliance respectfully requests relief from penalties for the late filing of its 2024 Form 990-EZ due to reasonable cause. The delay resulted from an exceptional series of transitional challenges during our organization's start-up phase. Following the IRS's request on April 21, 2025 for amendments to our Articles of Incorporation, we immediately devoted our limited resources to addressing these required changes. This process delayed other operational priorities, including tax compliance preparations. Our official 501(c)(3) determination was subsequently granted on May 30, 2025, leaving minimal time to properly prepare and file before the deadline. During this critical formation period, our volunteer team faced a steep learning curve in understanding nonprofit tax obligations while simultaneously working to establish the organization's programs and governance structure. Upon recognizing the filing delay, we promptly submitted the completed Form 990-EZ as quickly as possible. This late filing represents neither willful neglect nor intentional disregard of IRS requirements, but rather demonstrates our good-faith commitment to proper compliance during a challenging start-up period. We have since implemented formal accounting procedures and calendar reminders to ensure all future filings will be timely. We sincerely appreciate the IRS's consideration of these circumstances and respectfully request waiver of any associated penalties.
