| Land Back initiatives are a direct and powerful expression of our mission to preserve sacred land. By supporting the return of land to Indigenous stewardship, we help restore the physical and spiritual foundations upon which cultures, traditions, and knowledge systems are rooted. Land is not only a resource it is a living relationship, central to identity, ceremony, and the continuity of ancestral wisdom. Through this work, we contribute to the protection of sacred sites and the reestablishment of Indigenous-led stewardship practices that have sustained ecosystems for generations. Guided by the leadership and vision of Indigenous communities, land return becomes a pathway for cultural renewal, ecological restoration, and sovereignty. In this way, Land Back advances our mission at its core, ensuring that both the land and the cultures it sustains can thrive together into the future. | - | $45,415 |
| In moments of profound crisis, whether during the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic or in response to urgent medical, socio-political, and climate-related emergencies, our community has mobilized swiftly to stand alongside Indigenous elders and nations. Through targeted GoFundMe and DonorBox campaigns, we have delivered food, essential supplies, medical assistance, and critical resources directly to communities disproportionately impacted by systemic inequities and environmental disasters. Grounded in ongoing dialogue with elders and local leadership, these efforts reflect a model of kinship in action that is responsive, relational, and guided by those closest to the need. This work reflects our mission by ensuring that elders and their communities are supported in times of crisis. When emergencies threaten the wellbeing of Indigenous peoples, they also place cultural continuity and land stewardship at risk. By mobilizing resources quickly and in direct collaboration with community leadership, we help safeguard the conditions necessary for traditions, knowledge systems, and relationships to the land to endure. Rooted in trust and guided by Indigenous elders, these efforts embody a relational approach to partnership, one that honors kinship, respects autonomy, and responds to immediate needs while strengthening long-term resilience. In doing so, we not only provide critical support in moments of urgency, but also uphold the cultural and environmental foundations at the heart of our mission. | $33,451 | $33,451 |
| Aniwa Gathering is a four-day event in the United States where Indigenous leaders from around the world come together to share wisdom, lead workshops, and address the most urgent issues facing humanity today. For many elders, it fulfills a lifelong dream: to connect with other Indigenous cultures across continents, strengthen bonds of kinship, and weave together traditional knowledge in service of the Earth. For participants, it is an unparalleled opportunity to learn directly from wisdom keepers and deepen awareness of the interdependence that unites us all. Aniwa Gathering is a catalyst for action, creating pathways for tangible support of Indigenous-led initiatives, transforming inspiration into real-world impact. Impact: 70+ Indigenous leaders have participated as distinguished speakers. $2 million+ raised for Indigenous-led projects through the gatherings. 4,000+ participants have joined this growing movement of cross-cultural learning and solidarity The Aniwa Gathering continues to grow as a global platform where ceremony, dialogue, and action intersect, raising awareness, generating resources, and building a community of shared purpose around Indigenous leadership and planetary healing. The Aniwa Gathering is a direct expression of our mission to partner with Indigenous communities in revitalizing and preserving cultural heritage and sacred land. By convening Indigenous leaders from around the world, the gathering creates a living platform where ancestral knowledge, ceremony, and cultural practices are actively shared, strengthened, and carried forward. It supports the continuity of traditions that are deeply rooted in the stewardship of land, reinforcing the inseparable relationship between cultural preservation and environmental protection. Through meaningful exchange and collaboration, the gathering not only uplifts Indigenous voices but also fosters global awareness and solidarity, generating resources and support for Indigenous-led initiatives that safeguard sacred territories.
