To improve the quality of life for persons facing life-limiting illnesses and for their families through direct hospice services 24 hours a day, seven days a week wherever the patient resides and through community education on the islands of oahu, molokai and lanai.

In june 2021, the harry and jeanette weinberg foundation, in a supplemental agreement, granted navian hawaii immediate release from reporting requirements, and the restrictions on investment and use, set forth in the original agreement of the $750,000 endowment.”

Gaap. Navian hawaii is subject to routine audits by taxing jurisdictions; however, there are currently no audits in progress for any open tax periods.”

PATIENTS MAY RECEIVE OUR CARE IN THEIR OWN HOMES AND IN NURSING FACILITIES AND CARE HOMES WHERE THEY RESIDE. IN 2024, HOSPICE HAWAII, INC. SERVED 655 PATIENTS ON THE ISLAND OF OAHU AND HAD 49,554 PATIENT DAYS OF CARE. OF THOSE PATIENT DAYS OF CARE, 5,958 DAYS WERE FOR PEDIATRIC CARE IN OUR PEDIATRIC CONCURRENT CARE PROGRAM, THE FIRST IN HAWAII. HOSPICE HAWAII, INC. DBA NAVIAN HAWAII ALSO PROVIDED UNCOMPENSATED AND CHARITY CARE IN 2024 AT AN ESTIMATED COST OF $198,034. HOSPICE HAWAII, INC. DBA NAVIAN HAWAII VOLUNTEER SERVICES TO PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES IN 2024 WERE ENRICHED BY OUR VOLUNTEER TRAINING THAT EDUCATED 53 HOSPICE HAWAII VOLUNTEERS IN 4 FORMAL TRAINING SESSIONS AND 26 ADDITIONAL ONBOARDING SESSIONS. COMMUNITY BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUPS MEET MONTHLY VIA ZOOM MEETINGS. IN 2024, THERE WERE A TOTAL OF 21 SUPPORT GROUP PARTICIPANTS. |
