“There are four classes of membership: (i) strategic members, (ii) contributing members, (iii) associate members, and (iv) committee members. Strategic members have full membership rights, including the right to attend, to speak, to present motions and to vote at foundation meetings. Strategic membership includes, amongst others, the following rights and privileges: a) to be entitled to nominate a board representative in accordance with article 23.2(a) of the foundation's bylaws; b) to be eligible or propose a candidate for a position in the governing bodies or any other body of the foundation; c) to participate in roundtables, workshops, expert groups, or committees and any other activities and meetings of the foundation; d) to join foundation working groups as a member; e) to propose amendments to the foundation's bylaws or to the internal rules of the foundation. Contributing members have full membership rights, including the right to attend, to speak, to present motions and to vote at foundation meetings. Contributing membership includes, amongst others, the following rights and privileges: a) to be entitled to board representation in accordance with article 23.2(b) of the foundation's bylaws; b) to be eligible or propose a candidate for a position in the governing bodies or any other body of the foundation; c) to participate in roundtables, workshops, expert groups, or committees and any other activities and meetings of the foundation; d) to join foundation working groups as a member; e) to propose amendments to the foundation's bylaws or the internal rules of the foundation. Associate members have the right to attend, to speak, but do not have the right to vote at foundation meetings, and are not represented on the foundation's board of directors. Associate membership includes, amongst others, the following rights and privileges: a) to participate in roundtables, workshops, and meetings of the foundation; b) to join foundation working groups as a guest only, provided that the working group's charter includes associate members as a guest class of membership and defines its respective rights and duties as a guest. Committer members have the right to attend, to speak, but not the right to vote at foundation meetings. Committer membership includes, amongst other, the following rights and privileges: a) to be entitled to board representation in accordance with article 23.2(c) of the foundation's bylaws; b) to be eligible or propose a candidate for a position in the governing bodies or any other body of the foundation; c) to participate in roundtables, workshopsm expert groups, or committees and any other activities and meetings of the foundation; d) to join foundation working groups as a member, provided that the working group's charter includes committer members as a class of membership.”

“Each strategic member appoints one member to the board, in 2023 the organization had 14 strategic members. In addition, the contributing members elected three members to the board and the committee members elected three. The general assembly can revoke the elected members but not the strategic member representatives.”

That committee, amongst other things, has made recomendations to eclipse foundation canada regarding the compensation and performance review of the officers of eclipse foundation canada.
