“GSMA HAS operator MEMBER, ASSOCIATE MEMBER AND RAPPORT MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES. Only Operator Members have voting rights. Associate Members and Rapporteurs do not have any voting rights. The number of votes allocated to a Member is proportionate to the amount of the annual Dues which a Member has paid. Members have the following powers: The ratification every two years of the Board in its entirety; the dismissal of the Chairman, individual members of the Board or the Director General.”

Thirteen seats on the Board are reserved for the thirteen largest mobile operators, based on wireless revenues and wireless connections. The remaining 12 seats are selected by the outgoing board based on a number of criteria contained in the GSMAs governance documents. The financial statements were compiled following international financial reporting standards and received an unqualified audit opinion.”
