Mission and Program Overview

Mission

The Music Guild presents chamber music concerts of the greatest classical change music by the finest ensembles and presents master classes for students, as well concerts for seniors and Alzheimer's patients in residential facilities, and provides instruments to schools, churches and students as its mission to inspire students to learn to perform an instrument, which improves their over-all academics performance and self-discipline, along with teaching them to interact socially with other students.

The Music Guild presented six of the finest chamber music concerts with the greatest local chamber musicians throughout our 79th season. Our outreach activities include facilitating the adoption of pianos and other instruments by public and private schools, private music students, churches and libraries. Also, The Music Guild facilitated an instrument lending program to talented students which dynamically enhances their learning and performance abilities. It has been proven and documented that students who study to learn an instrument find improvement in all of their academic studies and social skills; proving that music is not a frill but an integral part of a student's life long quest for excellence.

ReasonableCauseExplanation/ExplanationTxt0Please note that unilaterally the IRS changed The Music Guild's annual fiscal closing date to April 30th. When this error was realized by The Music Guild, it contacted the IRS and the IRS admitted this error and corrected it to reflect that since its incorporation in 1945, The Music Guild's fiscal closing date has always been June 30th. This information was entered into the notes of The Music Guild's file. Subsequently, The Music Guild wrote a letter to the IRS restating its error and subsequent correction of this unwarranted and unrequested fiscal year ending date change.
