“OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 4: The Jr. Posse program along with the Mountains Recreation and Convervation Authority has developed the MRCA Jr. Park Ranger youth program to help inner-city youth learn about the following: (Learn about going camping, animal dropping, dangerous plants, native animals) - Learn what is the MRCA, what roles does the MRCA play in protecting our parks, and what services this organization provides to the public.- Learn about the educational and leadership programs they provided for youth The MRCA has provided a grant to Jr. Posse to help further this program. Number of Students: 13 in program - Some of the youth graduates are now interning, and will be teaching this year's class. 13 casual participants in the program in which students are fed, learn about CPR, and hiking. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 5: CJP provided service to over 1750 inner city youth, and scholarships to 20-35 CJP youth in college. Scholarships were given to elementary, middle school, and high school graduates.”

Posse Youth Equestrian Program (Year-round Programs) engage kids in the hard, daily work of ranch management, including feeding, cleaning stalls, grooming horses, and caring for the grounds. The riding also teaches the kids about body mechanics, balance, and etiquette. This program offers year-round after-school programs, high school club equestrine team, ranch field trips and group visits, and week long summer day camp. Our program is a hands-on interactive educational learning experience with lectures, demonstrations and arts & crafts activities which teach introductory horse care and includes riding time for all attendees. Grants were giving for staffing needs, summer programs, safety equipment for horse and rider.New program being offered to all youth this year consist of Urban Agriculture, and Arts/Crafts. |

Number of Students: 13 in program - Some of the youth graduates are now interning, and will be teaching this year's class. 13 casual participants in the program in which students are fed, learn about CPR, and hiking. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 5: CJP provided service to over 1750 inner city youth, and scholarships to 20-35 CJP youth in college. Scholarships were given to elementary, middle school, and high school graduates. |
