“OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 4: Noyemberyan Hospital Medical Equipment:High quality, hospital grade new and refurbished medical and surgical equipment were sourced from the U.S. and donated to the Noyemberyan Hospital in Noyemberyan, Armenia. The hospital's surgical capacity was doubled thanks to the new equipment. In addition, the new equipment will help boost patient safety and allow for life saving procedures and surgeries. The hospital is located in a remote, rural area of Armenia and often times has difficulty in access to medical and surgical resources. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 5: Housing for Needy Families in Artsakh:Currently there are several families with five or more children living in the most remote parts of Armenia's rural regions. These families are mostly based in areas that are cut off from the capital and have extremely limited access to resources. Living in the distant villages of Artsakh, a considerable percentage of the families are deprived of proper housing and live in small shelters shared with other families. The lack of adequate housing poses a whole range of problems starting from public health issues to unavailability of basic amenities.The project calls for the construction of new homes for those families. The houses will be single floored buildings with an area of about 100 square meters and 1000 square meters of enclosing outdoor area Each house will have a living room, three bedrooms, a kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen, the corridor and the bathroom floors will be tiled. The bedrooms and the living room will have parquet flooring. The buildings will be provided with hot and cold running water sewage and electrical systems. The roofs will be covered with metal tiles. The project also includes area upgrade and the fencing of the yard for secure access reasons. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 6: OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 7: Sos Village School:New construction for the Sos Village School in the Artsakh region. The school will feature a newly designed campus with a new building, complete with new classrooms, furniture and other necessary elements required for a school. The new school will have hot and cold running water, proper heating needed for the harsh winter climate and other safety features. The school will also include a kindergarten and serve as the only center of learning for this remote, rural village. The school is expected to serve up to 250 students with plans to expand further if the need arises. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 8: OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 9: Gyumri Housing Project:The project completely refurbished and newly furnished apartments to homeless families in Gyunri, Armenia. The families lost their homes after the devastating earthquake and were forced to live in decaying temporary metal huts. Thanks to this project, families now have clean living quarters, complete with a bedroom and restroom with hot and cold running water, as well as kitchen appliances, furniture and other basic elements needed. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 10: Shushi Housing:Provided refurbished apartment units complete with furniture and appliances for needy homeless families in the Shushi, Artsakh region. The families included those living in extreme poverty, as well as those with disabilities. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 11: Cultural Program:Cultural programs provided funds to help cultural programs in Armenia in the realms of music, art, and educational development. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 12: Proshyan Youth Center:The Proshyan Youth Center was provided new desks, lockers, cabinets, chairs and office equipment. The high quality wooden made items were purchased by Armenia Fund and delivered to the center. The project also covered the proper installation of all items. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 13: Olympic Project:Provided funds to help support young athletes in need. The project entailed the sponsorship of equipment and other items needed to help organize their athletic activities. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 14: Stepanakert School #9:Stepanakert School”
